O show continua

Bom, como semana passada eu estava com problemas no computador (estava apenas sem o mouse…) eu só coloquei a indicação da música The Show Must Go On para falar sobre ela ontem hoje.

The Show Must Go On faz parte do álbum Innuendo da banda inglesa Queen e foi uma das últimas canções escritas por Freddy Mercury, pouco antes dele morrer por causa da AIDS. A doença estava tão séria na época em que a música foi gravada, que hove sérias dúvidas se ele conseguiria ou não cantá-la, mas ele conseguiu. E conseguiu de uma forma que nenhuma interpretação jamais superará a dele.

A letra dessa música é muito linda, e nem prciso comentar do impacto que ela tem ao se pensar que Freddy Mercury morreu apenas seis semanas depois de lançá-la. E claro que ela foi sucesso instantâneo!

Quanto a versões, talvez a mais conhecidas sejam as de Elton John e da Celine Dion, mas a minha preferida é a do filme Moulin Rouge. Mas que nenhuma supera a original é fato consumado.
